Learn to transform local fruit into gastronomic products

Are you eager to learn how to use local fruit to prepare delicious jams, juices, and syrups? Then this workshop is for you!

With the fabulous women producers of the village of Nyaguis, you will learn to use local fruits such as hibiscus, tamarind, baobab fruit, and ditax, to prepare tasty marmelades, syrups, juices, and dried fruit, depending on the season. This particular women’s processing unit was established many years ago, and was founded by the women of the village in order to create employment opportunities and to contribute to educational programming on the use of local and organic products. Upon your arrival at the center, you will be able to choose which workshop you’d like to participate in, and members of the women’s group will guide you in the traditional techniques of preparing and processing your selected fruit. This workshop will be a unique opportunity to learn about the local gastronomic culture and, at the end of the workshop, taste your handiwork!
