Learn sustainable agriculture with local women

This experience is ideal for someone interested in working closely with a local women’s group dedicated to practicing permaculture in their community and environment.

In the village of Kafountine, a community garden based on the principles of permaculture has  enabled a group of local women to realize their dreams: by dedicating themselves to organic agriculture and selling their produce in local markets, they have been able to both offer their community healthy food and achieve economic self-sufficiency. Visit this community if you are excited to learn local sustainable and organic farming techniques, if you are hoping to experience permaculture in practice, and if you are interested in synergistic gardening and to get closer to the nature.

You will be actively involved in the daily responsibilities of the members of a local women’s group whose garden is located near Kafountine. You will have the chance to work side by side with women in the garden, helping to harvest, plant, weed, and water based on seasonal needs and growing schedules
